Pay $372.00 to the State Board.
Fill out section 1 of Form 2 - Certificate of Professional Education, then send it to your AVMA accredited veterinary school to be completed. This form must be submitted with an official transcript by the university to the New York State Education Department.
NAVLE: New vets applying for a license in New York will need to pass the NAVLE exam and have their results submitted directly to the New York Board.
New York does not require a jurisprudence exam for licensure at this time.
Veterinarians who are already licensed in another state follow the same procedure as unlicensed applicants.
Licensed vets who have completed the NBE but not the CCT can complete Section 2 of Form 4 - Verification of Professional Practice to be licensed by endorsement.
The New York Board does not specify how long it takes to process license applications. Ensure your application is not missing any documents to avoid delays.

New York does not verify your CE annually, but it is recommended you keep a record of your CE for at least 6 years as the New York Board of Veterinary Medicine may randomly audit you.
To change your address during the renewal period, do so by using the Online Renewal Portal.
To change your address outside of the renewal period, submit the change through Chat or using the Address Change Form.
To change your name, complete this form and submit supporting documentation.
Unfortunately, New York does not offer temporary veterinary licenses that allow relief veterinarians to practice in-state for a limited duration.
