Equine dental equilibration for bit reactivity

This is Bob, a 20-year-old heel horse presenting for routine dental equilibration. Mild reactivity to the bit. Otherwise holds weight appropriately, no reports of diarrhea, etc. Exam reveals: normal TMJ, normal lateral excursion of the mandible in both directions, incisors in appropriate wear, moderate sharp enamel points along the buccal surface of the cheeks on the maxillary arcade and lingual surface of the mandibular arcade. Mild bilateral ramping of 311 and 411. Sharp enamel points and ramps were safely reduced, relieving areas of oral discomfort. Owner reports that patient is doing well! -Dr. Erin Gatz

When Working With Animals Can Hurt Your Mental Health

“…the average veterinary school graduate reported having more than $143,000 of school loan debt while earning a starting salary of just over an average of $73,000 annually in 2016.” We aim to change that. Relief vets with Roo can earn upwards of $150K per year. Even just alleviating some of that financial burden can improve overall wellbeing. Read the article here.
