A 10-year-old Labrador Retriever presented with vomiting, bloody diarrhea and lethargy. The owners, who purchased the dog as a puppy, reported that he had been experiencing lethargy for four to five days before he had been brought into the clinic. The team performed a CBC/Chem/CPL panel as well as radiographs of the dog’s thorax. The ultimate diagnosis was pancreatitis and a baseball-sized heart-base mass. Together with the owners, it was decided that they would end the old dog’s suffering with humane euthanasia.
