Our Platform is Now Available for Vet Techs

Hear ye, hear ye!

We’ve got an announcement that we know you’ve been waiting for… our platform is now available for vet techs! The functionality is very similar to how it works for veterinarians, with a few key differences highlighted below. Now we can bring the flexibility and sense of well-being that Roo provides to ALL veterinary professionals. Click this link to sign up!

Each hospital user admin dashboard has been updated with separate pages for vets and techs, differentiated by color scheme, to help practice managers quickly recognize which page you’re on. And thanks to our new multi-user feature, you can also give account access to whomever does your tech scheduling for streamlined use.

Our vet techs will be assigned a tier designation (and pay scale) determined by a self-reported skill set, so hospitals will need to think about what skills the tech will be required to perform and select the appropriate tier when posting shifts. That way, techs will never be asked to perform outside the scope of comfort and ability, and hospitals will have the full level of support they need.

At the end of every shift, hospitals and techs will be asked to rate your experience with one another just like our veterinarians already do, so we ask that our users be constructive and honest.

As with any new feature, it can take a little bit of time for users to sign on. So vet techs, you may not see a wide variety of shifts right away, but keep checking back! And hospital users, the veterinary technicians will be undergoing a brief interview process before we approve them to use Roo, so it may take a little time before your first shifts start seeing traction. Just hang tight, the requests will start flowing soon.
