Roo reaches 4,000 users!
Let us kickoff by sharing that together, we have hit a substantial milestone. To date, 4,000 Hospitals, Vets and Techs are utilizing Roo for staffing, earning full-time and part-time wages. This achievement is a testament to your trust and faith in us, and we cannot express our gratitude enough.
We want to take a moment to thank every animal hospital and all veterinary professionals who chose to sign up, post shifts, and work shifts all through our platform. It is because of you that we were able to reach this amazing goal. Your commitment to providing top-notch animal healthcare, even while dealing with fluctuating staffing needs, is truly an inspiration.
This substantial growth demonstrates that our mission deeply resonates with you – creating a flexible and effective staffing solution to ensure smooth operations in hospitals, and guaranteeing our furry, scaly, and feathered friends receive the top-tier care they deserve. For that, we extend our deepest thanks and appreciation. This milestone belongs to you as much as it does to us.

Introducing our new CEO, Danny Leffel
The second piece of news we would like to share is about the evolution of our leadership team. Lisa Hu, Roo’s CEO and Co-Founder has chosen to pass the baton and transition into a new role within the company. Therefore, we are thrilled to welcome Danny Leffel as our new CEO, who will guide Roo through the next phase of growth. Danny is a seasoned entrepreneur renowned for his groundbreaking work in the tech industry, particularly as the Founder and former CEO of Crew, a successful communication app for shift workers. His insights and expertise will undoubtedly enhance Roo’s services and benefits for both animal health providers and hospitals.
As we look to a bright future, we also want to celebrate our past. We owe a great deal to our outgoing CEO and Co-Founder, Lisa Hu, who will now be Roo’s Strategic Advisor. As Hu transitions into a new role within the company, she expressed utmost confidence in Leffel’s ability to guide Roo’s future. “I’m incredibly proud of what our team has accomplished with Roo, finding more success than I ever expected with our platform and users, and I’m very excited to have Danny join us, as his leadership & experience will be instrumental in our next phase of growth.” Under her visionary leadership, Roo came to life and flourished into the platform that you hop on today. Lisa will always be a treasured member of our Roo family, and we are incredibly grateful for her everlasting dedication and leadership.
As we embark on this new chapter, rest assured that our commitment to supporting the veterinary community remains unwavering. We are excited to invest in more opportunities for our users such as our Roo Uni, Roo Enterprise and community initiatives. With Danny’s leadership we look forward to expanding Roo nationwide. In addition to its marketplace, Roo also invests in Enterprise offerings for corporate clinics and fosters a vibrant community for veterinary professionals. We are excited about the enhancements and improvements that Danny’s leadership will bring to Roo, all aimed at making it even easier for you to connect, collaborate, and ensure that every animal under your care receives the best possible attention.
