February 22nd is the late Steve Irwin’s birthday, and so #NationalWidlifeDay (originally September 4th) was expanded to include today as a way to honor his legacy. How does this relate to you in the veterinary field? Well, every state has different laws regarding who can medically treat what kind of animal and when. Does your vet clinic have a wildlife plan in place for when someone comes in asking for help with a sick or injured wild animal that they’ve found?
